5 Anti-pollution products to try

by Kate Lee

As humidity and temperatures rise, and more time is spent outdoors, those living in urban areas are especially susceptible to air pollutants and pore-clogging dirt. We rounded up 5 products that fight skin pollution.

Pollution is not only a problem that environmentalists concern themselves with, it can wreak havoc on your face as well. Environmental pollution has been linked to allergies, dermatitis, premature aging, and skin cancer, among other things. Although many of us can't always relocate to peaceful pastures outside of the city limits, we can do our best to help fight the pollution that constantly surrounds us. Drinking more water, exercising, and washing our faces is just the beginning.

We've all heard that sunblock is one of the easiest defenses against premature aging and sun damage. To further protect skin, try incorporating antioxidant ingredients into your routine. These components help fight off and reverse free radical damage. The same way that your blueberry and acai smoothies help curb free radicals in your system, so too can these ingredients help ward off damage to your skin.
